Your coach knows… when you showered!

Why is showering before swimming lesson mandatory?

Ha! We've got you covered! We know what some of you think about showering before swimming lesson: “Come on, kid, we took a bath at home yesterday” or “Oops! We were late, who will notice?”

The truth is that the pool and certainly your coach will understand!

Of course, we're not crazy about making you soak in the shower until you come off your scales... We're talking about a short shower for you and your baby, with water temperature ranging from lukewarm to cold - the main goal of which is to prepare you for entering the pool!

The main reason is of course the hygiene regulations which we should NEVER forget and skip! Showering before swimming lesson removes hair from the hair that falls out, lint from the socks and any sweat! It is also a good idea to focus with a little more pressure on the armpits, legs and genitals. Very basic everything for the cleanliness of the pool!

Another – also important – reason is the body temperature. And this is because of the difference between the outside temperature and that of the pool! An adult needs approximately 15 minutes to adapt to a new temperature,

let alone in water, which tends to absorb our temperature. So imagine your baby wanting to be given a little extra reaction time!

So, even though you may be in a hurry or simply bored, remember that in essence, with a lukewarm shower you help maintain clean water in the pool and also quickly reach the right temperature. This way, you don't catch a cold and you can enjoy the game throughout the lesson, both you and your baby!
