Bushcraft

WHAT IS IT?

Bushcraft is the learning and practice of the art of outdoor living.

It is the Knowledge and experience of living in harmony with the natural environment of a forest.

It includes a wide range of empirical knowledge such as:

  • The identification of wild grasses, mushrooms, trees and their uses
  • The elaborate use of fire
  • The outdoor camp
  • The construction of shelters
  • Finding and creating drinking water

All the necessary knowledge, that is, to meet the basic needs of a human being, for survival and living, in our natural environment.

WHAT DOES OUR BUSHCRAFT CAMP INCLUDE?

From the June 16, once schools close, we will embark on a unique journey into the world of the forest.

A special group of children who want to experience autonomy in nature, from the ages of 6 to 15 years old., they will be able to come into contact, but also to dive into real-life learning, in a camp in the forest, the likes of which have never been done before. In the company of most experienced Outdoor Living instructor and our coaches, from 8-9 in the morning until 14:00 -15:30 daily, we will experience for 7 working days, until June 24, a unique excursion into nature and its gifts. 

The program includes the transportation of children to and from the forest from 3 central stops in the city, which will be announced later, based on participation.

In summary, it includes all trainings, (games in nature, lighting a fire, cooking in nature, knowledge of herbs, flora and fauna of the forests, etc.), hiking and transportation. 

In the program, it is good for each child to have their own lunch box, along with a snack, fruit and a snack. However, a tea with seasonal herbs, plenty of water is offered daily and sometimes we will cook with the children in nature, with products that we will provide and we will inform you in good time 2 days or one day before, in the Viber group that we will form with the participants.

The Bushcraft Survival Summer Camp program is appropriately designed for the age groups of the children who will participate and is completely safe. During Bushcraft, and while the children are in the mountains, it is a good idea to wear long clothing

WHERE WILL OUR BUSHCRAFT SUMMER CAMP BE HELD?

In Sheikh Su, in the forest of our city, near the Countryside, in a specially designed space, for animal breeding, events and training of children and trainers, with safe paths for hiking, as well as indoor and outdoor spaces, suitable for training children and adults.

WHO IS OUR TEACHER?

Yiannis Varossis is an experienced trainer with many years of training in rescue groups, with a passion and dedication to nature. It will show us how to appreciate the small and large creatures of nature, how to respect and enjoy nature, without abuse, but with loveThis is a man who is a walking encyclopedia and his contagiousness in empirical and experiential knowledge of the forest is unique.

Naturally, the Our wonderful coaches and a psychologist - also a member of our team in the secretariat with many years of training in her field - will be assisting in the valuable work of our Trainer Yiannis, but also of course to our children for the help, care and entertainment they will need.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

1 PERIOD June 16/24 (7 working days): €265
For siblings, there is a 5% discount on the second child.

ONE DAY ALL INCLUSIVE: €45
For siblings, there is a 5% discount on the second child.


*Advance payment of 100 euros upon registration.

*The remaining amount must be paid in 2 equal installments, by the beginning of the period.

*For cancellations made up to 5 days before the start of the period, the deposit amount will be refunded. For cancellations made after 5 days, the deposit amount will be retained.

*The above prices include:

All training (games in nature, lighting a fire, cooking in nature, knowledge of herbs, flora and fauna of the forest, etc.), hikes and transportation, a juice every day, the cost of insurance as well as VAT.

Also, sometimes we will cook with the children in nature, with products that we will provide and we will inform you in time 2 days or one day before, in the Viber group that we will form with the participants. 

*If you choose to have your child looked after at our place until 4pm, the service is free.
