Ichthys Aqua Club, within the framework of the promotion and development of infant swimming, as a widespread activity in our country for parents and children, organizes seminars for infant and preschool swimming coaches.
Our seminars are organized under the auspices of the British swimming academy, "Swimming Teachers' Association (STA)" and are internationally certified and recognized. They provide all the necessary knowledge and practical training to enable you to practice the profession of infant swimming instructor.

Having participated in successive international baby swimming conferences and seminars around the world and having immersed ourselves in all the new pedagogical approaches, we decided, together with our own experience, to add new data to the teaching of baby swimming.
Baby swimming is a special activity where an instructor must, first of all, learn to observe the reactions of babies and interpret their own language. He must also be interested and care for the connection between parent and child and be concerned with the simultaneous emotions of all family members.
The recently renovated Ichthys Kalamaria swimming pool is a model swimming center for baby swimming. It was created by us and only a guided tour of our space can answer many questions about baby swimming. It is a functional, highly aesthetic and modern swimming pool that meets the needs of children and adults by applying basic principles of a child-centered approach.
The journey of the Ichthys swimming team began in 2011 in Thessaloniki from the baby swimming service. Parents and children trusted and loved us. Staying true to our values over the years, we have managed to have a particularly upward trajectory in the field, adding new services such as aqua yoga for pregnant women, swimming academies, competitive swimming and swimming programs for adults.

Why should I attend baby swimming seminars?
Baby swimming is an activity that really requires special knowledge and methodology, something that is not yet taught so intensively in the Departments of Physical Education and Sports.
Many swimmers have perfect swimming technique. However, when former athletes take on the role of swimming coach, on the one hand they know the subject matter perfectly and empirically, on the other hand this does not mean that they can also become educators. They know what it means to set competitive goals, but they do not know how to train a young person. Those who wish to become infant swimming instructors or teach swimming to toddlers and other ages must know the special educational method needed to communicate with infants and children, as well as the different goals that they must set depending on the age of the athlete.
Participants in our seminars receive all the theoretical, psychological, counseling and practical knowledge to practice the profession. Through live classes, practical training in the water with our instructors and theoretical training, you will feel safe to teach infant and toddler swimming. Furthermore, contact with the people who created our swimming pools will give you the answers to how an infant swimming pool is formed, developed and upgraded.
Learning is mutual feeding. So, our seminars are an opportunity for us to meet people with the same interests. The people of the Pisces swim team are the most important part. Many interesting collaborations and friendships have emerged through these seminars! We look forward to the ones that will arise in the future!

Where are they held?
The theoretical part of the seminars takes place online, via the Zoom platform) and you can choose the date that best suits you.
The practical part of the seminars will take place in Athens, Nicosia & Thessaloniki.
In the Athens the practical part of the seminar takes place in the swimming pool Athens, in Chalandri.
In Nicosia the practical part of the seminar takes place in the swimming pool Komaneci, in Strovolos
In Thessaloniki the practical part of the seminar will take place at the Swimming Pool Pisces Aqua Club, in Kalamaria.
In the practical part, you choose the location, Athens, Nicosia or Thessaloniki.

What is the cost?
The cost of the seminar is 480 euros.
