We cut our traditional Vasilopita cake again! In early March (better late than never), the whole team gathered to wish for the new year and for another very important reason!
The prize was won by our beloved Irene, who makes sure every day, with undivided love, that our space stays clean!
The other reason is that we welcomed the wonderful Lambrini Tsilikitidou, a teacher at a German Waldorf school, who with much love and contagiousness, shed light on the holistic Waldorf method of education. This is a holistic pedagogical approach, which is based – above all – on love for the child and his soul. Our children are constantly bombarded – from preschool age – by logical things that they need to learn, while at this period of their lives, these operate mainly emotionally and not cognitively. How wonderful it would be, then, for them to reach the cognitive part, after first learning about their emotions? We discussed these and other wonderful things and promised to do more!
As romantic as it may sound, all our children need is love and understanding. And a method based on holistic knowledge of the child's nature certainly has a lot to offer us! Anyone interested in more about Waldorf can visit the link below!
