A super collaboration starts this summer! The Ichthys swimming team together with the Playeat team propose to you for this summer a original, educational, experiential nutrition education program for children.
How do you think? if children learn from a very young age how their body works, Where does their food come from? and how to make good food choices? We thought that if this is done through play, experiments and cooking then it will definitely be something creative and enjoyable.

The most super summer sports program, returns for the sixth consecutive year, even more carefree and joyful, for children 4 years and older (without parents). ALWAYS with safety, empathy and entertainment as the main ingredients!
In a wonderful beach bar in Mykoniatika Kallikrateias – especially kid-friendly – the Hello, We will spend the first 3 weeks of July with our kids!
Daily except weekends, the children will be picked up in the morning (without parents), from central points of the city. We will all go together at the sea for play in and out of the water and at noon we will return fed, dry, and full of joy – but a little tired – to the pickup location.
The program starts on Monday, June 28 and is completed on Friday, July 16, while it includes transportation, the most super creative activities - entertainment - exercise, swimming in the sea and thoughtful food, in individual portions.
The Summer Camp by the Sea 2021 program is divided into 3 one-week periods:

The Summer Activities – Pisces Summer Camp by the Sea 2021 program is aimed at children aged 4 and over. Of course, parents of younger children are welcome to come along with our little fish, at any time and for a cup of coffee, the sea and company!
Detailed information about the Summer Camp by the Sea 2021 program:
First of all, you should know that you will be given a responsible statement that will give us permission to travel and have fun with your children, which must be signed by both parents. This statement will also detail any specific health issues of the child (e.g. food allergies, hygiene, etc.)
At the same time, there will be insurance coverage from AXA Insurance and a car always on standby, in case of immediate need.
Medical coverage
We always have a first aid kit (fully equipped) with us on the bus and in the play area.
Furthermore, we have a collaboration with a pediatrician who will be close to us so that we can have peace of mind for our little friends.
Finally, you will need to provide us with a medical certificate from a pediatrician stating that the child is healthy and that he is allowed to play sports in the sea.
Escorts
All attendants are lifeguards with first aid certificates and trained by Nikolas Hadjigiakoumis..
There is a specially designed area with plenty of shade – outside of the water – for us and the children.
The children will enter the water in sections and here again we have a specially limited space and many coaches!
Sun
As soon as we arrive, we will go to the shaded area and apply sunscreen, put on our hats and begin the organized or unorganized activities.
Child's bag
They should have 2 changes of underwear, light clothes (the immortal Greek mother's cardigan), 3 swimsuits (sos), baby wipes, sunscreen, 2 towels, a cereal bar or rice crackers or some easy snack that doesn't spoil in the bag, if you think that the food we offer (see below) won't be enough for your child.
If there is any medication that the child is taking, it would be good for us to know so that we can keep it and hand it to the bus attendant with the child's name on it.
Itinerary
The itinerary and pick-up and drop-off times for children will be announced one week before the start of the program and will be adjusted depending on the number of participants. Its final form is completed one week before the start of the period.
The general idea is that there are up to 7 meeting points - pickup points in Thessaloniki. We start at 8:00 or 8:30 from Lagkada Street, at the height of Stavroupoli for the westerners, we go down Egnatia, cross it and stop wherever necessary for the central ones, then Krini, Miaouli 18 at our swimming pool for the easterners (and if necessary we will make another stop at the Green Traffic Lights) and off we go to Mykoniatika Kallikrateias! We return between 15:00 and 15:30 in the afternoon!
*Depending on the participation and needs of the parents, there may be childcare at our swimming pool, Miaouli 18, until 4.*
Food
We will provide an individual - child-sized portion of fruit salad, a juice, plenty of water, and a cold sandwich at the end before we leave.
Also, you should pay special attention to the participation form, as well as tell us in person, so that we know about any cases of allergies.
If you choose to have your child looked after until 4pm at our swimming pool, you should bring a light lunch for your child, which will be kept in a refrigerator in our premises.
Sports
Sports include: sand gymnastics, survivor-type events, beach volleyball, rackets, surfing, beach soccer, buckets, apples, lifeguard exercises and much more!
There is a possibility that we will have a HUGE Surprise this year!

We keep our distance!
Regarding ensuring the health of all of us, you will be asked to provide new medical certificates stating that the child is healthy and that he is allowed to do sports at sea.
Furthermore, regarding bus travel, we maintain all the existing standards that apply to this day. The capacity of the bus is 65% and passengers must wear masks. The bus is disinfected by a special disinfection company every afternoon. As the children enter the bus, they will use antiseptic.
As for our stay at the sea, we have a specially designed area at the Aloha beach-bar, just for us, where the activities take place and the children rest, with trees and natural shade. The distances at which the sun loungers are placed are in accordance with the provisions provided. And here there will be antiseptic in any case. The supervision of our coaches will be continuous, so that the children do not share the same objects and that they are disinfected after use. Of course, the necessary distances will be observed, both for the safety of all of us and for the joyful participation in the game.
If the member has previously had COVID-19:

However, feeling the moral and social responsibilities that the times we live in require, we are adding some additional measures, in order to fully ensure the non-transmission of the virus!
We are ready to start our lessons, having taken all the necessary measures in order to continue living and enjoying ourselves, but always safely.
Below we present the updated safe operation guide for the next period, until further notice.
In the first week of the resumption of training for the new swimming season (after the summer vacation period), athletes and technical staff of all sports (individual and team), even those who are fully vaccinated and have been ill (with a valid disease certificate), will have to undergo the first preventive test for covid19.
When you first enter our facilities, you fill in your details in the incoming-outgoing list, for possible contact tracing. (https://www.gga.gov.gr/images/.pdf )
For your entry into the space, our little swimmer will demonstrate a negative self-test or rapid test or PCR declaration before each weekly lesson.
According to the instructions issued by the General Secretariat of Sports, from 22/11/21 The following new measures apply: Entry to the changing rooms and swimming pool is only permitted to adults with a valid vaccination or disease certificate. Children from 4-17 years old enter with the school's self-test and up to 4 years old enter without a test. In the reception area where the swimwear store also operates, entry is also permitted to unvaccinated people with a 48-hour rapid test.
Of course, for all our members, as usual, it is necessary to provide recent medical certificates.

During the lessons, the supervision of our coaches will be continuous, so that Children should not share the same objects and should disinfect them after use.Of course, the lessons will also cover the necessary distances, both for the safety of all of us and for joyful participation in the game.
Even more important, however, is to know that swimming pools are the most sterile sports area, due to the presence of chlorine. Indeed, chlorine in combination with additional methods of disinfecting our water, (ozone and UV), offer the maximum possible safety! According to new research, not only is the virus not transmitted in pool water, but neutralized!
You all come to our premises with mask and keep safe distances in 2 meters. Of course, there is antiseptic in various parts of the space.
Regarding the staff who will serve you, you should know that those of us who have not been vaccinated or are sick are subject to in 2 rapid tests per weekIf anyone tests positive, they will remain in quarantine according to the instructions of the National Public Health Organization.
Furthermore, our swimming pool in Kalamaria has a sophisticated ventilation system where it is applied cooling-heating-dehumidificationIn fact, it's like being in an open-air swimming pool since the fresh air is renewed 8 times a day!
The number of participants in our swimming pools (and therefore in the locker room area) has been redefined and reduced, in order to maintain the greatest possible distances to prevent the spread of the virus, in accordance with the most recent provisions of the Hellenic National Public Health Organization.
