On April 20 and 21, just before Easter, we had the opportunity to experience a well-organized event with a lot of fun, inspiration and creativity: the 6th Spring Bazaar of the Friends of Merimna at Warehouse C' in the Port. An established event in the city to support Merimna's work, which provides psychological support to children and families experiencing serious illness or death.
Over 3,000 visitors rushed to participate in the thematic events, workshops and activities, inspired by the Wild West and the Cultures of Central America! A wonderful bazaar of clothing, toys, candles, books, gifts and delicious homemade sweets was set up by the amazing volunteer team of the Friends of Merimna, while an imaginative setting with totems, cowboys and Indians, and a huge Indian teepee tent in the central area of the event took young and old on a journey!
The Pisces Swimming Team participated with great joy and enthusiasm, preparing exclusively for the event an interactive game of sports, myths and riddles, teamwork and cooperation! Thus, we played, laughed and discovered together with the children “The Great Secret of the Aztecs”, the secret ultimately of all civilizations: that only through the triptych “body-mind-spirit” and the harmonious cooperation of people do we reach happiness!!!
