A wonderful initiative! Pisces swim team is there every year, supporting the efforts of volunteer breastfeeding groups that celebrate motherhood!

The PURPOSE of the event - celebration of the National Simultaneous Public Breastfeeding is the DE-SECRETIZATION of PUBLIC breastfeeding and the FAMILIARIZATION of our SOCIETY with the image of the breastfeeding mother.
Events will be held in more than 50 cities in Greece by local volunteer support groups, members of the Panhellenic Network of Breastfeeding and Maternity Support Groups.
The desire of mothers to return to breastfeeding, along with the multitude of difficulties, usually from external factors, that they are called upon to face, gave rise to the need to create local voluntary breastfeeding support groups.
In these groups, mothers help other mothers learn the maternal art of breastfeeding, they are informed, they come into contact, they share their anxieties, concerns and experiences, they support each other, they gain strength and courage...
On the first Sunday of November WE CELEBRATE.
We celebrate because HELP FROM MOTHER TO MOTHER PAYS.
We celebrate because by helping each other, every year MORE AND MORE MOTHERS MANAGE TO BREASTFEED their children and learn ways to overcome difficulties and adversities.
We celebrate because TOGETHER like ONE FIST, WE LEARN and MANAGE to realize the natural and self-evident, without limiting ourselves or censoring ourselves...
We celebrate because MORE and MORE WOMEN ARE BEING INFORMED EARLY! And so it seems that, although for our generation the natural act of breastfeeding is conquered with daily battles, for our children's generation it will be a self-evident process.
Due to the removal of previous generations from the act of breastfeeding and the deprivation, by the new generation, of images of breastfeeding, today's breastfeeding woman is called upon to face, among other things, the prejudice of public breastfeeding...
House confinement during lactation often leads to a brief interruption of breastfeeding and to mothers being distanced from it. Let's not forget that the new generation is a generation with intense professional and social activity. Motherhood and breastfeeding are not and should not be a brake!
The new generation of mothers is called upon to cope with a variety of roles. By breastfeeding, we give our child the natural nourishment, affection and comfort that he or she needs at every moment. By decriminalizing public breastfeeding, the mother does not need to renounce her social life or separate from her child in order to meet all kinds of obligations or participate in personal activities.
With today's event, we bring society into contact with the image of breastfeeding, we show how tender, magical, truly pure a process it is, yet at the same time discreet!!!
With the event of the National Simultaneous Public Breastfeeding, we help mothers to free themselves from any inhibitions, and we invite them to include breastfeeding in their daily lives, in their routine. Achieving this goal will help them to continue breastfeeding, for as long as the mother-child dyad wishes.
With the event of the Panhellenic Simultaneous Public Breastfeeding, we protest for the RIGHT of our children to breastfeed in public. Our children will NEVER breastfeed again in toilets, parking lots, cars, as if it were a shame! Our children have the right to breastfeed WHERE and WHENEVER they ask, in restaurants, in cafes, on benches… FREELY and UNOBSTRUCTED!!
With the event of the National Public Simultaneous Breastfeeding, we want to shout that public breastfeeding for a mother and her child is NOT a show, it is a RIGHT!
