Why Baby Swimming?

The phrase "My baby can't walk yet, let alone swim" is heard by many new parents. That's why we're here not only to assure you that your baby can become a great swimmer, but also to teach you the benefits he'll gain from baby swimming.

1. Enhancement of cognitive function of the brain
Your baby needs to perform cross-body movements in the water, meaning they need to use both sides of their body for any action. Research has shown that movements such as kicking their feet and hands simultaneously, combined with the resistance of the water, help with physical and mental development and improve a child's reading, language, spatial awareness, and academic learning in general.

2. Boosting self-confidence
A 2010 study showed that children aged two months to four years who took swimming lessons adapted better to new situations, had more self-confidence, and were more independent than other children of the same age.

3.Improvement of appetite and sleep quality
Exercising in the water requires a lot of energy, especially for our little swimmers who are in a new environment and their little bodies have to "work" more. It is therefore common for a child's appetite to increase after swimming lessons and for them to become sleepy earlier than on other days.

Of course, there are so many more benefits of baby swimming, which we will talk about in a future article. Stay tuned…
