THE COACHES OF IXTHY

NIKOLAS

I am Nikolas Hadjigiakoumis and many parents think that I am an amphibian. Others think that I don't walk and only swim. Of course, this is not true, because in the hours that I am not in the water, I simply like to take care of and develop the two things that I love so much. My family and the Pisces swimming team. And it involves a lot of running, but twice as much joy.

Playing in the pool with the kids and having them look me in the eye, as their first teacher, firstly moves me and secondly makes me love them very much. And they know this. How can you hide from the kids? They know everything anyway. Except of course swimming, which my team and I teach them!

Nikolas is Austswim certified, STA certified and Birthlight Certified:

ELIAS

My name is Elias and for as long as I can remember I have always been in the water. I have been swimming since I was three years old, doing various swimming lessons, and my friends always teased me about having scales.

Growing up, I discovered that there is no better and healthier workout than water, and I learned to love the pool and appreciate the hours I spend in the water.

And what could be better than passing on what you love to children?

So, ever since I stopped swimming competitively, I've been involved in learning and I've discovered that nothing makes your day more than seeing a child grow and improve and knowing that you've helped at least a little bit with it!

GEORGE

I'm George and aqua aerobics came into my life a little late, but it won me over.

After years in gyms, the world of water opened new horizons for me.

Aquagymnastics showed me how to help people overcome various musculoskeletal and pathological problems.

THEOCHARIS

I am Theocharis and from the first moment I dived into the water, I felt a unique connection with this element. Every dive fills me with vitality and energy. The feeling of freedom that swimming offers, whether in a pool or in the sea, is irreplaceable.

In the water, I find calm and concentration, two elements that help me in my daily life.

Swimming is not just a sport for me, it is a way of life. The feeling of movement in the water, the harmony and freedom I feel every time I swim, is priceless to me.

Now, I have the opportunity to share my love of swimming with children, teaching them the basics of the sport. Through teaching, I see their joy and excitement as they discover their abilities in the water.

It is incredibly rewarding to contribute to the development of their confidence and discipline, as well as to help them discover the magic of the water. Teaching my children to swim offers a unique opportunity to share my experience and knowledge, watching them develop and love the water as much as I do.

STELIOS

I'm Stelios and I'm very lucky because I'm making my dream come true. I teach swimming to children!

Since I was little, I remember myself eagerly awaiting the time to jump into the pool. As an athlete, I still have many beautiful moments to remember.

This love of swimming combined with my desire to teach young children led me to study Tefaa with a specialization in swimming.

A child's smile is the greatest reward and I aim to make my little friends happy and provide them with useful knowledge both inside and outside the pool.

NIKOS

I am Nikos Papadimitriou and swimming has been in my life for over 20 years, first as an athlete and for the last 5 years as a coach.

Through my work, what I seek above all is to encourage children to discover the world of sports, to develop a healthy relationship with exercise and physical activity, and to acquire values such as discipline, perseverance, and cooperation. Then, I want to transmit to them my personal love for swimming.

I also practice Tec-Pa (Technique Papadimitriou), a method that helps improve swimming technique.

PARIS

I am Paris. I have been in swimming pools my whole life as an athlete and for the last 6 years as a coach. I love the water and now I can't live without it. I have trained children of all ages and I can adapt my lessons to the needs of each child. I try to be creative in my work and make training fun and interesting. My goal is for every child to feel safe in the water and learn to swim, surpassing their limits every day.

I studied at the TEFAA of Thessaloniki with a specialization in swimming coaching. I did my master's degree on the topic 'Sports and Health' in collaboration with the Medical School of Thessaloniki. Our team where I have been working for 3 years is characterized by new ideas in the field of swimming and above all love and passion for what we do.

ANTONY

I've always been in the water since I was little. I started swimming and then I got into rowing, so the water became an integral part of my life. It's the place where I feel free, calm and full of energy.

I am a graduate of the SEFAA of Thessaloniki and I teach swimming to young children. I love seeing children become familiar with the water, gain self-confidence and smile in the pool. Every progress they make is a joy for me.

You will find me in the Apollo pool, at 11 meters, always with a smile and a desire to share the joy and magic of water with my little swimmers!

MARIOS

My name is Marios and I study at the Gymnastics Academy, specializing in swimming. From a young age, I developed a deep connection with the water element, which determined my path in sports.

As a swimming teacher, my greatest joy is seeing my students discover the magic of water.

Water is not just a substance, it is a sensation, an experience that unites body and soul, offering freedom in every movement.

Swimming is more than a sport for me, it's a way of life.

In the pool, as in life, perseverance and patience are the keys to overcoming any obstacle. Every swimming lesson is not only about physical exercise but also about fun!

VALENTINE

My name is Valentina and since I was little, when I swam I felt freedom and relaxation. It was me, the water and no one else. While I was swimming, everything calmed down - thoughts, fears, tensions. It was as if he was embracing me and cleansing me of every burden, I felt time stop.

I love working with children because their energy is pure, full of enthusiasm and they offer me authenticity. They remind me every day why I chose this path, as every lesson with them is a victory. We don't just teach them swimming techniques or styles but to love their bodies, to manage fear, to gain self-confidence and trust in themselves.

This whole process gives me indescribable joy and satisfaction as I watch them progress. When they come and tell you, "Ma'am, I did it!" or "Did you see me?" with a smile, it's the greatest reward.

ELIAS

My name is Elias Sokolis and I am a swimming coach with experience at all levels – from academies to high-demand competitive teams.

I graduated from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a specialization in swimming, while I continue to evolve through experience and continuous training.

I have been a swimmer since I was young and I have always dreamed of becoming a coach, so that I can help young athletes develop and believe in their potential.
and to love the sport like I loved it.

Since 2016 I have been responsible
of swimming classes where my goal is to create a positive, inspiring and challenging training environment.

In my career so far, I have contributed to the emergence of many young champions, as well as elite athletes, while promoting values such as teamwork, consistency and love for sports.

With a passion for swimming
and continuous development, I believe that training is not only a means of distinction, but a way of life that cultivates character and values.

Success, apart from medals and constant improvement, I believe is also managing to stay in swimming forever!

ANASTASIA

My name is Anastasia and since I was little, water has been my natural element, where I feel free, strong and calm at the same time. Swimming for me is not just a sport, it is a way of life.

This love led me to study swimming at the National Swimming Academy to expand my knowledge in this area as much as possible, graduating with this specialization.

To the Pisces team, I can convey the joy and self-confidence that water offers.

Daily contact with children is the best gift for me, as I see in their eyes the excitement of progress and the pure joy of diving.

I learn from them every day: patience, spontaneity, and a smile, which is the greatest reward.

I have spent countless hours in the pool either as an athlete or as a coach and I feel that swimming is much more than a sport, it is a way of life.
