It is an incredible environment that completely changes the rules of the game of sports and perfectly complements gymnastics on land. In the aquatic environment there are many forces that affect the execution of the movement. There are some key advantages that we can focus on. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are the properties of water that benefit us anyway, simply by entering the water, but there are also the individual benefits that arise from our own choice and exercise! The effect of gravity depends on the depth of the water. If we are submerged up to our necks, we have no effect of gravity on us. If we go shallower, such as at knee level, we feel our weight more and so we can play with these variations and exercise better. Furthermore, we do not affect our joints and muscles and we can exercise without any consequences. We feel much more flexible and have freedom of movement, since for example we can float, bounce or relax without consuming the same energy as in air. In addition, water increases the resistance by 12 to 14 % more than in air. When the environment in which the movement takes place is air, this resistance is negligible (due to its low density) and is usually not taken into account. Water offers constant resistance to any range of motion we do. We can explore a completely different space for how our body can move. When we enter the pool, this constant resistance allows us to exercise on multiple levels and in all those ways that are more difficult on land. Flexibility in water is increased, so exercises are done in a greater range of motion and muscles are trained at different angles that are otherwise difficult. <\/span><b>So, due to the resistance that water exerts on our body and by extension on our movements, we have more time to perform an exercise, so we do it more correctly, with the ultimate result and benefit of not having the possibility of muscle injury!<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class='slide-entry-wrap'>\n<section class='slide-entry flex_column post-entry slide-entry-overview slide-loop-4 slide-parity-odd  av_fullwidth first'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" >\n<h3 class='slide-entry-title entry-title'  itemprop=\"headline\" >HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE<\/h3>\n<div class='slide-entry-excerpt entry-content'  itemprop=\"text\" >\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fourth advantage is perhaps the most important. It is the <\/span><b>hydrostatic pressure of water<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The body receives pressure in three dimensions and at the same time the deeper the movements are made, the more intensely we exercise and buoyancy is created in the body. In this way we achieve multifaceted muscle training in a unique way as well as benefits to our circulatory system. Hydrostatic pressure opposes the tendency of blood to accumulate in the lower parts of the body, which helps reduce unwanted edema. The direction of buoyancy is upward and perpendicular to the surface of the water (opposite to gravity). It is the force that resists any movement made in the water in a downward direction, while it assists any movement made upward, towards the surface of the water. Depending on the direction of movement of the body in the water, buoyancy functions as a stabilizing force, as an auxiliary or as a resistance force. The buoyancy of the water makes exercise possible for everyone, limiting injuries. Exercising in water is therefore more enjoyable for people who have a reduced ability to regulate their temperature, such as the obese. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we exercise in a gym or outdoors, our body tries to reduce the temperature that has increased in our body due to exercise. In the pool, however, the water temperature compensates for that of the body and thus the circulatory system pumps blood to the muscles, instead of performing the above process.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<div class='slide-entry-wrap'>\n<section class='slide-entry flex_column post-entry slide-entry-overview slide-loop-7 slide-parity-odd  av_fullwidth first'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" >\n<h3 class='slide-entry-title entry-title'  itemprop=\"headline\" >CONCENTRIC MUSCLE CONTRACTIONS<\/h3>\n<div class='slide-entry-excerpt entry-content'  itemprop=\"text\" >\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next advantage we have with exercising in water is the <\/span><b>concentric muscle contractions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as opposed to eccentric contractions. The most important characteristic of concentric contraction compared to eccentric contraction is that it causes less muscle damage as in warm water the muscles are NOT stretched! So they are not strained! The heart in water works 10-13 beats per minute less when performing exercise at the same intensity. Immersion in the water and concentration on the technique create a relaxing meditation in the liquid element. This means that blood pressure is reduced, thus eliminating the risk of heart attack and stroke.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People who exercise in warm water experience a significant reduction in blood pressure, according to a new study. Researchers from the University of S\u00e3o Paulo in Brazil found that the benefits of exercise when done in water are much greater, and even so much so that it reduces blood pressure even in people who do not show improvement with medication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the scientists explain in their report, this method is called warm aerobics and is performed when the water is at 32 degrees. According to the scientific report, which is published in the International Journal of Cardiology, the temperature of the water plays an important role, as previous studies have shown that the results are not as good when the exercise is done in water that is at 27 degrees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study involved patients who had high blood pressure, which had not decreased for five years, despite the medication they had been taking.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the study, patients continued to take their medications, while exercising in the warm water of the pool reduced blood pressure for the next three days. According to the scientists, 150 minutes of exercise per week is enough to provide good results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specifically, exercising in hot water offers the following overall benefits:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<div class=\"flex_column av_one_half  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first\" style='border-radius:0px;
